The Charles J. and Burton S. August Foundation is a private charitable foundation dedicated to advancing the health and welfare of residents in the Greater Rochester, New York area. The Foundation supports nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations that demonstrate through programs and projects measurable impact on the well-being of those served.

The Foundation is guided by the vision of our founders, Charles and Burton August. They believed that charitable giving is essential for the strength and health of one’s community. In keeping with this, the Foundation provides grants to health and human service organizations to allow them to make the greatest impact.
